The Convair 2000 series air conveyor is the result of a long professional experience in the conveyors manufacturing field. The aim of this project was to develop a high-efficiency conveyor with a high level of contamination control over the containers on their way from the blowing to the filling unit.
GEA Procomac Packaging Convair 2000 series have been designed with the extensive use of the latest 3D drawing software: for example a new stainless steel structure has been deployed to house the bottle guides which ascertains their coplanarity and parallelism.
New blowing slots are integrated in a plastic structure mounted directly above the bottle neck guides. Thus the air jetting can be very precisely directed to the bottle neck ring area. Air jetting in this area creates an air cushion which greatly reduces friction. As a consequence, the new Convair features an
improved power efficiency of more than 30%:
less blowing stations are needed (one for up to 14 mt) and bottle jams are greatly reduced. Air cushion design with greater bottle sliding ability and low friction bottle guides design give Convair 2000 the capability to handle any kind of bottles included tapered neck bottles.
Basic
- Open frame.
- Blowing station with basic dust filter on aspiration (G3 class - UNI 779).
Proclean
- Completely closed frame.
- Blowing station with double dust filtration: a HEPA filter (H11 class - UNI 779) is placed after the basic filter.
Aseptic
- Completely closed frame.
- Blowing station in stainless steel with triple (G3, H11, H13 classes - UNI779) dust filtration. Total filtration level: 99.99% DOP – photometric test method.
State-of-the-art automation
GEA Procomac Packaging air conveyors installations are managed by customized operating logic to obtain an intelligent air flow modulation featuring:
- use of frequency converters on all motors;
- possibility to set up to 3 different speeds for each bottle format (nominal speed, fast recovery speed, accumulation);
- selection of the correct speed for each working situation directly by the PLC without any intervention by operators.
