Jordan Ice & Aerated Company, a company belonging to PepsiCo group, awarded GEA Procomac with a contract to supply 2 palletising systems for their plant in Amman.

The supply consists of 2 high level in-feed palletisers model AGILIS, single in-feed. Due to the narrow space available, the palletisers were positioned in line, one behind the other. One palletiser serves a CSD production; the other one serves a water production line.

The 2 palletisers feature a belt type row preparation system which guarantees a smooth and safe handling of the packages (film only) and an easy implementation of different palletizing patterns in case of additional formats, simply through the machine’s PLC (no mechanical parts will be needed).

The supply also included 2 conveyor systems which collect the packages at the discharge of the existing shrink-wrapping machines and through spiral elevators, convey them at high level at the in-feed of the palletisers. Moreover, 2 stretch-wrapping machines, rotating arm, are also part of the scope of supply.

The 2 palletising systems were installed at the end of January 2012 and successfully started-up in production at the end of February.
