La Versa, a leader company producing Oltrepo Pavese wines,
has recently celebrated their 100th Anniversary and for said occasion has
launched a new brut cuvče Testarossa Principio wine.
The company started
out as a local company, but, thanks to the excellence of its products has grown
in both national and international markets and has always kept close ties with
its origins, preserving its traditions in wine making, producing its wines,
sparkling wines and spirits only with grapes grown in Valle Versa vineyards.
One of the company's primary goals, is their ongoing commitment to
continuous improvements and investments in its line of products and in terms of
technology. This in fact has led to a renewed trust in GEA Procomac Packaging,
who have been assigned to supply a new robot palletiser system
that will replace the existing traditional one.
The OMNIA
system supplied is a palletising island with a 4 axis robot, wrist load
capacity of 300 kg. a 2 modules self-centring type gripper and guarantees a
speed of 12.000 bph with the format of 0.75 lt. in cartons. The
gripper equipped with two independent modules picks up an
entire row of packs and is able to place it on the pallet in two separate
moments conducting one cycle only. In this manner it is possible to accomplish
the requested pallet pattern optimising the line production speed.
The employment of robot palletiser systems in the wine industry has become
largely diffused, especially in those areas where increasing reliability, speed
and flexibility are required. Moreover, as is the case of La Versa, the robot,
thanks to its small footprint, can also be placed in restricted production
spaces thereby improving the work conditions.
