This system was developed thanks to the extensive experience gained through
the food industry and the collaboration with the company Heineken (project
Sunshine).
Ventilo is a range of drying systems,
for bottles and jars made of either glass or plastic
material (PET/HDPE), capable of removing drops of water from the body,
the neck and the cap of the container.
This is the ideal solution
for all those applications that need an extremely accurate drying, such as on
the container's body in case of lable application or below the container's
cap/crown cap to avoid any rust formation. The production speed can
reach 60.000 bph on small formats.
The machine has a compact
structure and due to its reduced dimension, it can be easily
placed within existing lines . The system can be composed of one or two modules
depending on the production needs. Every module can dry the area of the cap,
the area below the cap and the area of neck of the bottle, or the body of the
bottle. The module which dries the cap and neck areas encloses adjustable
air knives divided in groups:
- the first (one knife) in the upper section with height adjustment
to blow on the cap;
- the second (two knives) with height, rotation and inclination
adjustment on one axis, which takes any water drops away from the area
below the cap;
- the third (two knives), with height, width,
rotation.
Inside of the module which dries the bottle body, there is a group of two
knives with height, width, rotation and inclination adjustment on one axis.
The adjustable system allows the air knives to work between 5 mm and 10 mm
from the bottle; this is achieves very high performances in terms of dryness
result.
The height and width adjustment systems are manual (handwheels) and
complete with position indicators. Thereby it is possible to conduct quick,
precise and easily repeatable size change-overs.
On the lower section of the structure there is a drip tray with a central
hole to collect all the water drops blown away from the bottles and to prevent
major water dripping on the floor.
The internal upper part of the structure
is inclined to prevent drops from falling back on the bottles.
The machine
is powered directly by the line electrical cabinet, but if requested can be
equipped with an independent electrical cabinet
The Ventilo range was
designed to respond to customer requirements with a large availability of
different models: the version S is entirely covered in a sound absorbing
material and with the blowing section mounted on the upper part of the
structure, the version SE with the blowing section mounted below the conveyor
to avoid damaging it.
Among the references 12 machines installed at Heineken
facilities, other machines installed at Davide Campari SpA in
Milan, in the Tuborg plant based in Romania, at
Granarolo dairy industry based in Pasturago (MI).
